This U.S. National Historic Landmark was built in 1931 and is one of the few surviving examples of its type built to control flooding along the U.S. rivers. It now operates as a museum and is believed to be haunted. The most often report of a haunting is that of a piano that is known to play on its own.

I heard the piano play on its own in 1977

My friend and I camped with her family at the campground by the river in Brownsville NE in the summer of 1977 and liked to take walks into the town, we went in a small museum with a player piano, bo one was there and the town was shut up tight, we left and awhile later as we passed by ot was closed and locked up tight and heard the piano playing by itself at dusk, we peeked in the window and saw the piano keys moving but no one was there. That same night my friend and I slept in the back of the station wagon instead of the camper and saw a man outside of the car with a long black coat, top hat and a large Rottweiler looking dog and he just stood there looking in at us, we were terrified! Then he just disappeared.
