University of Nebraska - Temple Theatre

Founded in 1869, this university has a theatre that is the centerpiece for some ghost stories. A student was said to have fallen to his death in the 1940s from the overhead rigging during a production of MacBeth. His apparition is known to appear during Shakespeare presentations. Dallas Williams, Theater Department Chairman, was known to use wild behavior to accent his teaching, such as throwing chairs. His ghost is still known to throw chairs. A ghostly young girl is also said to reside here, and a dancing ghost who has been heard practicing dance steps.
